Kenya Trade Network Agency Job Vacancies
The Kenya Trade Network Agency (KenTrade), a state corporation under the National Treasury and Economic Planning, seeks qualified candidates to fill key positions. KenTrade operates the National Electronic Single Window System (Trade Facilitation Platform), advancing trade facilitation in Kenya. 1. Manager, human resource & administration – KTNA 3
Duty Station: Nairobi
Reports to: Director, Corporate Services
Purpose of the Job:
Provide strategic expertise in human resource management and administration services, supporting the agency’s objectives. Oversee policies, capacity building, performance management, asset security, office management, and promote best practices in HR and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and harmonize HR policies, plans, and guidelines.
- Build capacity in HR functions and manage succession plans.
- Oversee board paper preparation, office space allocation, and office management.
- Ensure safe custody of assets and oversee legal compliance for insurance and licenses.
- Direct culture management and handle industrial disputes.
Qualifications:
- 9+ years of experience, with 4+ in management.
- Master’s degree in HR, public administration, business administration, or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, public administration, or equivalent.
- CHRP (K) and IHRM membership with a valid practicing certificate.
- Leadership development program (4+ weeks).
- Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
2. Manager, internal audit – KTNA 3
Duty Station: Nairobi
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Purpose of the Job:
Provide objective assurance and consulting services, enhancing organizational processes, internal control, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk-based reviews and develop annual work plans.
- Implement audit activities, risk and compliance reviews, and quality management evaluations.
- Develop and review audit policies and the Board Audit and Risk Committee charter.
- Coordinate external audit activities with the finance department.
Qualifications:
- 9+ years of experience, with 4+ in management.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, or computer science.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent, with ICPAK membership.
- Leadership development program (4+ weeks).
- Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
3. Driver – KTNA 10
Duty Station: Nairobi
Reports to: Administration Officer
Purpose of the Job:
Drive agency vehicles to transport personnel and execute official duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine vehicle checks, reporting defects, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Ensure vehicle security and record daily journey logs.
- Conduct routine service and report accidents promptly.
Qualifications:
- KCSE minimum mean grade ‘C-’ or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant driving experience.
- Valid Class BCE driver’s license and Trade Test Grade III certification.
- Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
